I must began by saying I am deeply saddened by the tragedy at Ft. Hood. Being the military this horriffic event could have happened to me more times than I can remember. We forsake that life is going to be here for us tommorrow. We must be refletive about our apporach to life. Be thankful for every breath you breathe. When i was diagnoised with cancer, one of my mentors suggested an idea to me. He suggested things happen for a reason. And maybe this go round I should stop and smell the roses. Suc…

Are You At War?
Tanya James
As Christians, there are some things you can be sure of ... battles will come, the enemy will try to take you out, people will come against you, and life as a Christian will not always be easy. There is simply no denying that spiritual warfare is real and present.
However, you can find encouragement in the fact that you will get through it. It's one thing to be at war and not know the outcome. But how awesome is it to know that we have the victory in God? Even when i…

The hour is striking so close above me,
So clear and sharp,
That all my senses ring with it.
I feel it now: There’s a power in me
To grasp and give shape to my world.
I know that nothing has ever been real
Without my beholding it.
All becoming has needed me.
My looking ripens things
And they come towards me, to meet and be met.
No thing is too small for me to cherish
And paint in gold, as if it were an icon
That could bless us,
Though I’ll not know who else among us
Will feel this blessi…

Dear brothers and sisters, what's the use of saying you have faith if you don't prove it by your actions? That kind of faith can't save anyone. Suppose you see a brother or sister who needs food and clothing and you say 'well goodbye and God bless you; stay warm and eat well' but then you don't give that person any food or clothing, what good does that do?
So you see, it isn't enough just to have faith that doesn't show itself by good deeds is no faith at all- it is dead and useless - James 2:14…

"Complete Captivity."
Yirmeyahu 30:3 states that our people are under
captivity and in our relationships it shows.
There is war waging between our people in their relationships and
marriages we as a people are screwed up as many of you well know.
We have become like the Gentiles despite a warning not to
be like them and to follow their ways.
Our people are so twisted that we Love them and hate each other
and our rebellion to Yah has shortened many of our days.
Yah told us in Yeshayahu that our…

"Hurtful Words."
With our words we can convey emotions and say
things that we can never really take back.
When we speak from our flesh we become tools of
darkness where we're used in a spiritual attack.
The tongue is as venomous as a Viper very deadly
when it's in the mouth of someone who has been hurt.
Someone who will say what it takes to tear you down
using their words to talk down to you as if you were dirt.
Through the spirit there are things said that belittle a
person and the words can s…

Winning The War Within
Pastor Andre Butler
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds --2 Corinthians 10:3-4
Paul is very clear in this verse that believers are in the midst of war. But in this war we don't use natural means of fighting because we're not warring against flesh and blood. In other words, we don't pick up swords, spears, or even a gun.
However, we do have weapo…

While most Christians readily acknowledge Halloween as a pagan and anti-Christ holiday, few are actually knowledgeable of its true history and symbolisms. Celebrating Halloween is no worse than celebrating Christmas or Easter- they’re all against the Bible and they’re all imposed as worship of a foreign god.

The dark night of the soul. This phenomenon describes a malady that the greatest of Christians have suffered from time to time. It was the malady that provoked David to soak his pillow with tears. It was the malady that earned for Jeremiah the sobriquet, "The Weeping Prophet." It was the malady that so af…

I am so tired of the discussion in and out of church about the way girls dress. In church some don't want pants or the skirt is too short. Some want you to cover every part of your skin. If you walk through the mall you can see enough skin to last you through church anyway.
You would think if the presence of God is in the church the men could keep their eyes on Him for an hour. If men can't keep their eyes off girls in church what is the use of releasing them when its over, so they can go to hel…

The First Fruit Of Servanthood Is Love
Dr. Zachary Tims, Jr.
The passage in Galatians 5:22-23 shows us exactly what God expects from his people in how we ought to treat one another, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance..." Galatians 5:22-23.
The first and foremost Fruit of the Spirit is Love. Love is the rudimentary principle of the New Testament commandment illustrated by Jesus Christ, "Jesus said unto him, Thou shal…

Fruits or Fruit
Tanya James
"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control..." Galatians 5:22
For many years whenever I talked about this scripture, I would say the fruits (plural) of the spirit instead of the fruit of the spirit. I'm not sure if I just did not know what the correct words were or if I self consciously made it plural so that I could pick and choose which fruits to strive for.
I'm sure I'm not the only…

There was a blind man in biblical days
They brought him to Jesus...touch him they say
Jesus led this blind one by the hand far away
In my mind I can imagine that day
The man must have wondered..."What in the world is going on?"
But he was being led by the Messiah, he couldn't go wrong
He couldn't see with his natural eyes
But his spiritual eyes were open....WIDE
He knew that wherever Jesus led would be fine
Jesus spat on his the man's eyes and asked "What do you see?"
The man replied "I see me…

The genius of God is evermore present in my life as well yours. God has presented his magnificent power in my life more than a couple of times. I'm more than sure as you survey your own life God has proven to be a might power. One of my testimonies began on 13th of September 2007. Before this day my life was predecate upon self indulgence. I was single and I had no responsibility. Or so I thought. My life at this point was at a stand still. Only time kept ticking. Had I known God before this day…

We as christians have to be careful in how we live our lives. Many of us live our lives based on morals, christians values, and expericences. This makes us who we are. Many of us would not change a thing in our lives if we had to do it all over again. The title of this blog stems from my personal experiences. I had a older brother with Cerebral Palsy. I never felt shame or pity for my brother. Truley he was an inspriration to our family. When life got tough I would just remember that my brother…
